The 2025 JH Ohio Model United Nations (OMUN) Education Contest took place last week in Columbus. Riverside students presented culturally based talent, participated in global education contests and debated current global issues. Through the process of role-playing, Riverside JH students became delegates of Lebanon in order to write, present and debate issues affecting Lebanese foreign policy. Their resolution titled “Don’t Drop da Bomb on Lebanon” focused on Lebanese, Iranian and Israeli foreign policy issues. Riverside students influenced countries to de-escalate military operations in the Levant and have the United Nations (UN) enforce previously passed U.N. resolution 425. Eva Dodds earned an Outstanding Delegate Award. Congratulations to Riverside's JH OMUN for all their hard work!
