Big shoutout to our Little Dribblers for performing at the Varsity Boys' basketball game last night! You all did an amazing job showing off your new skills!

What?: The Partnership for Literacy Committee is having a contest open to all students in grades PreK - 6! Students are encouraged to design a t-shirt using the theme of “Pirate Tales” to inspire their t-shirt design. All interested students must submit their entries by February 18, 2026.
PLEASE NOTE: the theme of the shirt should revolve around PIRATE TALES (stories/books about pirates).

Music Parachute Fun!

Everything is falling into place for a memorable Senior Night! Join us tonight, February 10th, as we celebrate our seniors taking their final shots on the court, performing their final songs with the pep band, and leading their final cheers from the sidelines.  We are also proud to recognize our Bowling and Powerlifting seniors. All seniors and their parents will be honored on the court between the JV and Varsity games. Parents and seniors: please meet in the hallway during the 4th quarter of the JV game.

Thank you to Community Health & Wellness for the generous gift basket of goodies. We are grateful for your continued support of our school and community.

We are excited to share the flyer for our Group Therapy sessions starting in March. These sessions provide students with a safe, supportive space to build coping skills, reduce stress, and connect with peers—all led by a licensed therapist during school hours.

Music this week: parachutes, bubbles, and dancing! Oh My! -We are responding to dynamics we hear in music with the parachute.

The second graders had a blast celebrating the 100th day of school!!

**RIVERSIDE ATHLETIC SCHEDULE: FEBRUARY 9-14, 2026**

The Riverside NHS will be hosting a blood drive Wednesday Feb 25th from 8am-12pm. All are welcome to donate. Please email aphelps@rlspirates.org with a time you would like to donate.

Calling all 5th-8th Graders!

It's time for our SWEETHEART DANCE & Games! Celebrate Valentine's Day with your friends, music, games, and non-stop dancing!

The dance will be on Saturday, February 14th.
5th & 6th Grade Session is 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM. Junior High Session is 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM.

The dance will be held in the Auditorium for just $5. Bring your best moves and your sweetheart spirit — we'll have games and tunes all night long!

PIRATES for the Week of Feb 2nd-6th

Our Interact Club and Riverside BPA are hosting a K-12 Donation Drive the week of February 9th ~February 20th. See attached for details.

**TODAY, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2026**

*JV/Varsity Boys Basketball @ Miami East: Cancelled & rescheduled for Wednesday, February 11 @ 6:00 pm.

*All practices/games, etc. are cancelled today at Riverside.

On Wednesday, the little cheerleaders of Riverside got to perform at the Varsity Basketball game during halftime. After having three days of camp and learning two callbacks and a dance they got to perform with the HS and JH cheerleaders. Thank to all that came and support these future Riverside Cheerleaders.

We are proud to announce that Riverside Local Schools has been awarded the Gold Level plaque from the United Way! Together, we raised over $13,000 in support of our community.

In addition, the United Way of Logan County once again surpassed an incredible milestone, raising over $1,000,000 to support programs and services throughout our community.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this impact possible!

Galentine's Craft Night- After prom fundraiser. Forms and payments are due by Monday, February 9th.

The winter sports season is quickly approaching its end. Come celebrate Senior Night on February 10th, seniors will walk across the court between the JV and Varsity games. Riverside will be honoring seniors who participated in basketball, cheer, bowling, pep band, and power lifting. It will be a very special night!
