Monday excitement & exploration for my kinders at Brumbaugh's Fruit Farm!We picked pumpkins on our wagon ride, learned about busy bees, watched apples get sorted, & chilled in the cooler smelling fresh apples! Topped it off with a picnic lunch and some downtime to play!! ❤️🍏💙

Riverside is excited to announce that October 20th is Senior Night to celebrate fall Senior Athletes (football, cheer, volleyball, band, and golf). Senior Athletes and their parents need to meet at the track by 6pm to get ready to be presented across the field. We hope for a big crowd to support our Seniors and then stay to cheer on the football team as they take on Milton Union at 7pm.

Staff Spotlight. This week's Staff spotlight is Janet O'Leary. Janet keeps our building clean and spotless. Keeps us all on our toes with her quick wit and keeps us all laughing. She is great with our students who love Miss Janet. Thanks for all you do for ALL of us. We are truly blessed that you are a pirate. 1. Job title and description of what you do. I am a custodian I help to keep the school clean and I'm in the lunch room at lunch time. 2. How long with Riverside? This is my 22 year at Riverside. 3. Family I have 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 3 girls and 2 boys, and I have 4 great grandchildren 2 girls and 2 boys. I love my family very much they keep me going and keep me young. 4. Hobbies I really dont have any hobbies. I like to spend all my extra time with my grandbabies. 5. Favorites (food, holiday, etc) My favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas. I really dont have a favorite food. I dont like seafood. 6. Best Co-workers why? I like all of my coworkers if I had to pick a favorite it would be Christina Wallen she works the night shift, but in the summer she works days with me. She is my favorite because we get along so well we have worked tyogether for going on 12 years. What is it about Riverside that makes you want to stay a Pirate. The best part of my job is seeing the students and interacting with them everyday. They all are great kids and I love each and everyone of them. Pirates are the best! GO PIRATES!

The Lady Pirates golf team competed in the Southwest District Golf Tournament at Heatherwoode Golf Club. The Lady Pirates finished in 12th place. Reaghan McDaniel shot a 77, which was tied for the 2nd best score. Because only the top 2 individual golfers qualify for the state tournament, Reaghan had to play in a sudden-victory playoff with Ella Porter of Versailles. On the 4th playoff hole, Porter won the playoff to qualify for the state tournament. For the Lady Pirates, Cassie May shot a 111, Ava Klingler shot a 118, Zoie Armbruster had a 122, and Emma Saylor shot a 125. Congratulations Lady Pirates on being the first Riverside girls' golf team to qualify for the district tournament.
