
Mrs. Core’s Third Grade brought many costumes and props for their Musical Skits today!





More fun with Musical Theatre Skits in 4th Grade today.





The second grade students enjoyed having Mrs. Shipp come in to the classroom to read “Charlie Brown’s Christmas.”





Where in the World Day was enjoyed by the first graders as we learned about South America. We crafted, feasted on a type of fruit cake we made, and tasted tamalas. To conclude our festivities, we paraded down the hallways wearing masks and waving streamers.





On Friday, December 16th, Captain Nautical visited Mrs. Otting’s fifth graders. ❤️🏴☠️💙


Where in the World Day! Kindergarten is focused on North America so we traveled to Mexico for Los Posadas Celebration with Maracas!




Come celebrate Christmas on the beach in Australia!!





The second graders had a blast learning about how Christmas is celebrated in Australia!! They enjoyed making a beach in a bottle, creating sand castles, and playing math games with beach balls!!





Congratulations to the 2023 Riverside Snowball Queen, King, and Court! The 2023 Snowball Queen is Jade Copas and the 2023 Snowball King is Aaron Scheeler. The court includes (pictured left to right) Sophomores Brianna Brandyberry and Braylon Dunn, Juniors Savanna Salo and Reece Jenkins, Queen Jade Copas, King Aaron Scheeler, Seniors Briana Bradley and Isaiah Lloyd, and Freshman Shaye McGill and Carston Bell. Not pictured are Snowball Princess Charlotte Hodge, daughter of Tyler and Alyssa Hodge, and Snowball Prince Logan Switzer, son of Kristen and Jack Switzer. The Snowball Game will be held on Friday, January 6th against Covington. The court will be presented between the JV and Varsity game. The dance will be held on Saturday, January 7th.


On Thursday, December 15th, Captain Nautical spent the day in Ms. Cotterman’s first grade classroom. Her students enjoyed the Santa cups filled with goodies that he brought for them. ❤️🎄💙




On Wednesday, December 14th, Captain Nautical popped in to visit Mrs. Franck’s 4th graders.


Jade Copas was able to represent Riverside today at the Kiwanis Luncheon for Seniors of the Month. The Kiwanis provided a delicous meal, and then Jade was asked to speak on how her Senior year is going and on her future plans.

On Monday, December 12th, Mrs. Cain’s 6th graders found a sweet way to start the school week by enjoying a good bag from Captain Nautical. ❤️🎄💙



On Tuesday, December 13th, Captain Nautical enjoyed his final adventure in Mrs. Core’s classroom. After 36.5 years at Riverside (37 years in March), Mrs. Core will be sailing into the sweet years of Retirement at the end of this school year. Thank you for all you do!! ❤️💙



Lady Pirates Basketball: 8th Grade
Beat Miami East 29-25; Emilee Robinson and Miah Carman had 9 points, Keira Manahan had 13 rebounds.
Beat Covington 26-16; Kenna Johnson had 13 points, Keira Manahan had 10 rebounds.
The Lady Pirates are undefeated at 7-0; 6-0 in the TRC.

Beat Miami East 19-18; Kenzie Stotler had 13 points and Molly Carman had 6 rebounds
Beat Covington 14-11; Kenzie Stotler had 7 points, Chloe Purtee had 6 points, and Molly Carman had 6 rebounds.
The 7th grade is now 4-3 and 4-2 in the TRC
