These are some of the pieces from Brooklyn Valmore that are part of her portfolio that submitted to the Art Institute of Cleveland. She is interested in becoming a Concept Artist which is part of illustration degree. When a student decides to look into a art career and go college for it. The key piece that gets them accepted is their portfolio of art that they have spent a lot of years in high school art building. Brooklyn is now in her 4th year of high school art and I am very proud how she continuously developed her skills as an artist. Art is so much about the person who is making the art and is not only the skill that has to grow but the student has to grow as a person. What inspires Brooklyn is what comes from within her. I am very excited for her to have this possibility of career that can go many places, have many different possibilities and be very exciting. The validation an art student gets from receiving a scholarship offer from their portfolio is something I have so enjoyed watching several students experience and I was very happy for Brooklyn.

The following Riverside High School Art students have work on display in the Logan County Courthouse. Special thanks to Judge Natasha Kennedy for displaying our students art. The students who have art on display are: Jason Robbins, Sam King, Kyleigh Duff, Jimmy Trout, Kristina Plank, Julia Meade, Cirus Gonzales, Abigail Clary, Gillian Knight and Allison Estep. There have been many good pieces of art created already with more on the way. Also a special congratulations to Brooklyn Valmore, who got accepted into the Art Institute of Cleveland. Brooklyn received a nice scholarship offer on her portfolio of art work that she has worked very hard to create. Brooklyn is looking to become a Concept Artist.

Here's another one of my CABIN crew who's trekked out on this chilly night in search of knowledge & earning booty!Hunter's mom even told me he said "this was scary but he was kinda brave!!" Way to go, Hunter! Your bravery on this excursion will result in treasure tomorrow!❤️💰💙

This week one of our vocabulary words is cabin. Many of my kinders said they've never seen a cabin before so I told my kiddos that I'd pay them $3.00 if they swung by the DeGraff Park and sent me a pic of them standing infront on the cabin there. Easy 💰 & making connections.

Here's another PIRATE braving this cold weather to collect some treasure & gain knowledge! This cabin may have been moved from the old school farm but it continues to be a gem for our students!!! I bet these kiddos will visualize the cabin when asked about it on their test!❤️💰💙
