Riverside's Reaghan McDaniel: Lady Pirate Invitational Champion
The Riverside Lady Pirates hosted the 5th Annual Riverside Lady Pirate Invitational on Tuesday at Cherokee Hills. The Lady Pirates finished 10th out of the 14 teams competing. Reaghan McDaniel tied her school record of 76 for 18 holes and was the invitational champion. Reaghan finished in first place out of the 68 golfers competing. Fort Loramie was the team champion, shooting a 356. St. Marys was 2nd with a 360 and Fairbanks was 3rd with a 389. Reaghan McDaniel also won the long drive contest on hole #3. For the Lady Pirates: Adalynn Calaway-122, Lei Hurley-123, Whitney Leatherman-150, Grace Owen-156.

Chromebooks Ready for the New School Year!
We're excited to announce that all our Chromebooks have been cleaned, updated, and are ready for students!
To help us keep track of them, we've added a new inventory tag to the back of each device and to a card inside its case. Please do not remove these tags. This will make it much easier to return lost devices to their owners.
We are still missing some chargers from last year. If your student did not return their charger, you will receive an email shortly to resolve this before school begins. Thank you for your cooperation!
Important Expectations for Students
Please take a moment to review the following expectations with your student:
* No personal stickers: Stickers are difficult to remove and can damage the Chromebook. Please remind your student not to place any on their school device.
* Keep chargers at home: To prevent lost or misplaced chargers, students should keep their charger at home and use it for charging as needed. They do not need to bring it to school.
* Use the protective case: The case is there to protect the Chromebook. Students should keep their device in the case when they are not using it, especially when traveling between classes or to and from school.
* Appropriate use: Please talk with your student about using their school device responsibly. While we have content filters in place, parental supervision at home is still essential.
* Report problems quickly: If a Chromebook is broken or has any issues, please have your student report it to Mr. DeMotte as soon as possible. This allows us to fix or replace the device quickly and get them back on track.

Riverside senior Reaghan McDaniel set a new Riverside girls golf record with an 18-hole score of 76. She finished in 3rd place out of 89 golfers. Adalynn Calaway finished 42nd and shot a career best 109 for 18 holes, beating her previous best by 11 strokes. She also shot a 50 on the back 9, beating her previous 9-hole score by 9 strokes. Lei Hurley finished 63rd with a score of 122, which was a personal best. Her 57 on the back 9 was also a personal best for 9 holes. The Lady Pirates traveled to the Urbana Country Club on Wednesday to play the Mechanicsburg Indians. The Indians won the match by a score of 232-259. Reaghan McDaniel was the match medalist, shooting a 37. Also for Riverside: Lei Hurley-70, Adalynn Calaway-75, Whitney Leatherman-77, Grace Owen-81.
