*RIVERSIDE ATHLETIC PHYSICALS AT MARY RUTAN HEALTH CENTER* For all Riverside students in grades 6-11 who are planning to play any sport at Riverside during the 2024/25 school year, Wednesday, May 22, 2024 will be our annual physical day at Mary Rutan Health Center. Students can be transported by a Riverside bus (will leave at 10:30 am) or they can drive themselves for their physical between the times of 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. This athletic physical will be good for the entire 2024/25 school year. Information for the physical is attached. Students must have their permission slip and athletic physical forms/medical history from Final Forms turned in by Friday, May 17, 2024 to Rod Yoder or Angie Shoe.
Attention Senior families: Our Varsity Baseball team won!!!!!!!!! This means the Class of 2024 Senior Dinner has been moved to Tuesday, May 14th, at 5:30pm. This is to avoid conflict with their next scheduled tournament game on Wednesday, May 15th to advance in the tournament. Thank you for your understanding and support of our Senior Baseball players. Please call the school office, if you have questions.. We are so proud of our Pirates! We wish our Varsity Baseball team the best of luck on Wednesday night!

**LADY PIRATES VARSITY SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT GAME**
The Lady Pirates' softball tournament game vs. Triad has been rescheduled for tonight, Friday, May 10, 2024 at 5:00 pm at Riverside. If you purchased a ticket with yesterday's date (5/9/24), it will still be valid for tonight. If you paid cash at the gate last night, bring your ticket and show it at the gate. Sam King is the 2023-2024 Outstanding Art Student. Sam has been in art since he was in junior high and all through out high school. Sam was identified as Talented and Gifted in Fine Art after his freshmen year of art. Sam is one of the most gifted drawers that I have ever had. You talk about a person who sees well, you are talking about Sam. His ability to work with precision and accuracy was evident from his first projects in art and just grew in his four years of high school art. He was meticulous in his pursuit to make sure picture was drawn correctly with the point of view he was working from. Sam’s attention to detail is something special and it really came out in his portraits. Sam loves to draw people and he often wanted to draw people he knew. The drawing he did last year of Riverside teachers on Mount Rushmore was an amazing testament to his ability to work with portraits. It has been a real joy watching him grow in his ability throughout high school. We wish him the best as he moves on to Ohio Northern University in the Fall.
Good luck and thank you Trainer Nate! The Riverside students and staff said goodbye to our athletic trainer Nathan Wicker on Friday, May 3. Nate has been our trainer for three years. He is returning to Cedarville University to become a physician's assistant. Trainer Nate has done a fantastic job as our athletic trainer and the Pirates will really miss him. Good Luck Trainer Nate!

**REMINDER** *RIVERSIDE ATHLETIC PHYSICALS FOR THE 2024/25 SCHOOL YEAR* The Riverside Health Center will be administering athletic physicals for Riverside athletes for the 2024/25 school year. Riverside athletes that will be in grades 7-12 for the 2024/25 school year can get a physical between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm during the week of May 10th to 17th. The physicals will be free during this time. You must schedule your physical time by calling the 937-585-5981, option 8 for the Health Center This is a new number due to problems with Community Health & Wellness answering system. *You must bring the signed OHSAA PPE Physical Form with you for the physical. This can be printed from Final Forms (5 pages: Pages 1-3 are medical history; Pages 4-5 are the pages to be completed by the physician.
