PIRATE Shout Out for my Kinders Rae and Liam who completed MISSION 1 on ZEARN!! We are working hard on "growing our brains" so as a reward for this accomplishment, they got to pick a brain stress ball as their prize. ❤️🧠💙


**RIVERSIDE ATHLETIC SCHEDULE UPDATE**
The JV football game tomorrow, Saturday, September 20, Covington at Riverside has been cancelled. Covington does not have enough players for the game.

The Riverside Lady Pirates competed in the TRC tournament on Thursday at Cherokee Hills.  Lady Pirate Reaghan McDaniel set a new Riverside girls record for 18 holes, shooting a 75.  Reaghan won the tournament by 9 strokes.  Reaghan also won the TRC medalist of the year for the entire TRC season.  Reaghan is now the 4-time TRC Medalist of the Year for girls' golf.  Milton-Union repeated as the team league champion.  Also for Riverside, Whitney Leatherman shot a 127, besting her personal best for 18 holes by 17 strokes; Adalynn Calaway shot a 131, Lei Hurley had a 132, and Grace Owen shot a 154.  The Lady Pirates will now play in the sectional tournament on Wednesday, September 24 at Stillwater Valley Golf Course.

The Riverside Boys Golf team wrapped up their season at the TRC league tournament at Cherokee Hills Golf Course.    Hayden McCully had a great day shooting an 81 and earning first team TRC.  Syler Clark shot his personal best with a 92.  Hayden Sanford 104, Zane Armbruster 107, Daniel Esh 110 and David Gross 117

The 2025 Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (Summer EBT) program is winding down and we are aware that many eligible students have not utilized the benefits issued in June. The one-time Summer EBT benefit expires 122 days after issuance and benefits distributed in June will be expunged as early as October 10th if they are not spent.

The Riverside Lady Pirates hosted Ridgemont on Tuesday at Cherokee Hills.  The Lady Pirates won the match by a score of 214-225.  Leading the way for the Lady Pirates was Reaghan McDaniel who shot a 36 and was the match medalist.  Also for the Lady Pirates, Lei Hurley and Whitney Leatherman both shot a 59.   Whitney's was a personal best, lowering her personal best by 4 strokes.  Adalynn Calaway shot a 60 and Grace Owen had a 68.  The Lady Pirates will play in the TRC league tournament on Thursday at Cherokee Hills.





The Riverside Boys Golf team traveled to Shelby Oaks Golf course to compete in the division 3 sectional tournament.  Hayden McCully shot an 85, Hayden Sanford 98, David Gross 103, and Syler Clark 110.   Riverside will finish the season this Thursday at the TRC Tourney at Cherokee Hills.

Congratulations to Riverside's September Seniors of the Month, Gillian Knight and Hayden McCully.


Riverside Lady Pirate Reaghan McDaniel broke the Riverside girls' golf record for 9 holes on Monday night, shooting a 1-under par 35.  The Lady Pirates hosted Northeastern at Cherokee Hills with Northeastern winning the match 203-213.  Also for the Lady Pirates, Adalynn Calaway shot a 54, Lei Hurley had a 57, Whitney Leatherman shot a 67, and Grace Owen had a 74.  Reaghan is shown putting for a birdie on hole #9, which set the record.



Early Intervention is hosting its annual FREE child screening for any youth residing in Logan County between the age of birth to pre-K that is not already enrolled in an IEP or Early Intervention.
 
The event will be held on Thursday October 16, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Discovery Center.
 
We are asking if you can please share this flyer to your clients, staff, and on your social media to share to families that may be interested or in need of additional services.

Next week is an exciting time for the Riverside Community. Homecoming brings together students, families,  and community members to join in the school spirit and make memories!

HoCo Parade-
Wednesday, September 24, at 6:00 pm. Vehicles and floats need to be lined up at the school by 5:50pm.
Powderpuff Games-
Wednesday, September 24, from 7:00pm to 8:30 pm on the football field. Please note that there is a $5 admission fee to this event since it is a Media Arts fundraiser, Senior and Family sport passes do not apply.
Pep rally- Friday, September 26 at 2:15, there will be a schoolwide pep rally in the gym, Reverse Court will be presented at the start! 
Homecoming Court Introduction- Friday, September 26, the HoCo Court will be introduced at 6:15. The Attendants and Queen will meet at the high school doors to receive their sashes and flowers and load into their individual vehicles by 5:45.
5th Quarter- Friday, September 26, students in grades 7th-12th are invited to the Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff Church directly after the football game for food and games.
HoCo Dance- Saturday, September 27 from 7:00-9:30 pm students in grades 9th-12th are invited to participate in a school dance; the cost is $5 per student and $10 per outside guest.

The girls team of Maggie Beaty with a time 37:00.8 and Kristen Thompson with a time of 37:01.3.
Next Saturday, September 20th, the team will head to the Ohio Cavern's Invitational.
