Lady Pirates golf at Homestead Golf Course. Riverside-237, Bethel-248. For Riverside, Reaghan McDaniel was medalist with a 43. Emma Saylor shot a 61, Cassie May fired a 62, Zoie Armbruster had a 69. The Lady Pirates are now 18-11 on the season. Zoie Armbruster is pictured.


We are pleased to announce we are offering an after school program for all 1st thru 4th graders. This program is called 9th Period. See attached for details.



Riverside Elementary kicked off our first day of school inviting students & staff members to put their fingerprint inside one of these letters on the mural. We have a few more to finish this week and next. ❤️ Thanks to all of our families who allow us to work with great kids!!!

Calling Pirates in grades 1st-4th… we are gearing up to start 9th Period in September. We are so excited to incorporate STEM, computer work, and engaging reading activities to promote a love for learning. We also will be focusing on test taking tips and practice. Come join us!

Riverside Athletics: Senior Citizen Passes: The Riverside athletic department is offering senior citizen passes for anyone over 60 for free admission to Riverside athletic events. The passes are lifetime passes. Contact AD Rod Yoder, ryoder@rlspirates.org to obtain these passes.

Riverside Varsity Football Jamboree vs. Triad, Friday, August 12, 7:00 p.m. $5 admission (Riverside students, senior citizens are free). Admission will be cash only at the gate. All admission money will be donated to the Riverside Athletic Boosters. Meet the Teams at halftime.

Riverside FALL athletic passes are now available. The FALL athletic passes are $100 and can be used for admission to all Riverside home FALL athletic events with the exception of TRC & SWD tournament games. You can purchase at the Riverside website: Click Athletics-Tickets.

The Riverside Lady Pirates hosted 11 girls golf teams in the 2nd annual Riverside Lady Pirates Invitational on Tuesday at Cherokee Hills Golf Course. The Lady Pirates shot a 430 as a team and finished in 4th place. Fort Loramie won the invitational for the 2nd year in a row with a 378. Bellefontaine finished in 2nd place with a 379 and Urbana finished in 3rd with a 427. Kayla Watkins from Bellefontaine, won the invitational for the 2nd year in a row with a school record 77. Aubrey Turner of Fort Loramie and Regan Ross of Indian Lake both shot an 82, with Turner taking 2nd place on the tiebreaker. For Riverside, Reaghan McDaniel led the Lady Pirates with an 83, good for 4th place out of the 53 golfers. Emma Saylor shot a 110, Zoie Armbruster carded a 111, and Cassie May shot a 126.

The RHS Lady Pirates played in the Covington Lady Bucc Invitational at Echo Hills Golf Course in Piqua and shot a 446, finishing 7th out of 15 teams. Reaghan McDaniel shot an 85 (5th place out of 83); Cassie May-112 (29th); Emma Saylor-121 (47th); Zoie Armbruster -126 (55th), Ava Klingler 136 (67th); Allison Estep-150 (75th). Reaghan won the award for the Longest Drive contest and Cassie May won the award for the Closest to the Pin contest.


The Lady Pirates golf team won a tri-match at Shelby Oaks . The Lady Pirates shot a 222, New Bremen had a 230, and Anna shot a 249. For the Lady Pirates, Reaghan McDaniel was medalist with a 41. Also for Riverside, Zoie Armbruster had a 55, Cassie May-62, Emma Saylor-64.



The Riverside Lady Pirates started their season with a win against New Bremen by a score of 228-236 at Mercer County Elks Golf Course. For Riverside, Reaghan McDaniel was the medalist with a 45; Zoie Armbruster shot a 57, Cassie May and Emma Saylor both shot a 63.

Riverside Meet the Teams Night: Riverside will introduce all of the fall athletic teams at the Jamboree football game on Friday, August 12. The introduction of the teams will take place at halftime of the game.

As a reminder, the USDA program that allowed all students to receive free lunches during the pandemic expired at the end of the school year. For the 2022-2023 school year, all families are asked to submit a free lunch application at either www.payschoolscentral.com or by completing the application hyperlink within FinalForms to determine eligibility. The application within FinalForms will need to be printed out and given to the office. If you submitted a paper application prior to July 1, 2022, you will need to reapply.
